Russia’s young tennis star Mirra Andreeva has revealed that she has not decided whether to keep her current coach permanently. The 17-year-old is often regarded as the one for the future and has already impressed tennis lovers with her game at such a young age.
Andreeva is currently working with former Wimbledon champion Conchita Martinez, but as per the latest report, it is not clear whether she will keep her in the role permanently. "We have to talk about it, we agreed not to touch on that topic until she finished in Madrid,” she said. “Right now I know that I will go to Rome, but I think the trial period is going quite well, we have good chemistry and we are working very well. In the coming weeks we will talk about it."
Andreeva recently took part in the Madrid Open where her journey finally came to an end as she lost in the quarterfinal to current world number two Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets with a score of 6-1, 6-4. Despite the defeat, the Krasnoyarsk-born star will be extremely happy with her performances as she defeated some notable names while reaching the last eight, including 2023 Wimbledon winner Marketa Vondrousova.
